11th house and root of all diseases.. Cause of your birth is because the desire that you are born with, 11th house also shows all your burning desire that you see born with. 11th being 6th from 6th, it also shows the root of your diseases.. 11th shows the punishment that one get in the form of diseases. 11th is being natural badhakesh is not considered good for health as it gives a rise to your desires that impede native to grow spiritually, Ayurveda mentions that root of all diseases is due to vata dosha and 11th is the storehouse of vata. From 11th house i.e. lower part of legs where vata enters in our body. The ancient Ayurvedic text ashtang hridyam, mentions in their text. Root of all disease is due to Vegodeerana – arising of forceful desire And Vegadhaarana – suppressing desires that arises naturally.. such act gives a rise to vata dosha that follows all the chronic diseases. Same text also confirms that One can find a cure to their root of their disease by simply suppressing their shadripus. 6th being the house of prarabdha karma. the house is also seat of all shadripus that one has to overcome. And root of this shadripus is seen from 11th of your desires. Rajasik and tamasik planet in 6th shows kind of Ripus one has to overcome. The following Shloka from Vairagya Dindima explains the Shadripu very well- कामः क्रोधश्च लोभश्च देहे तिष्ठन्ति तस्कराः। ज्ञानरत्नापहाराय तस्मात् जाग्रत जाग्रत॥३ Lust, anger, greed, attachment, intoxication, jealousy are the dacoits, and residing within your own body. They are not outside. They are residing enemies within you. And, why are they there? To loot you and make you sick and ignorant. Saturn in 6th shows one has to overcome greed, narrow mindedness, miserliness. Mercury in 6th shows one has to overcome the nature of being envy, jealous and having false pride. Venus in 6th shows, lack of self control, excessive lust, selfishness, Mars in 6th shows one has to overcome anger , and nature of being hatred. Rahu in 6th causes intoxication Ketu in 6th shows excessive emotional attachment towards something. These six enemies are not completely independent of each other. But they’re all united against us and they want to destroy us completely! For example, a person cannot be jealous and at the same time completely free from anger, because jealousy inevitably breeds a sense of anger.. 6th being 8th from 11th holds a power to eradicate the root of your disease hence malefic in 6th is considered great as it gives it power to fight against the Ripus. 6th is being natural Virgo shows amount of time and energy you invest in self to build your skills , it is food for your creativity (5th house) Remember 7th from every house is shakti of that house, by which one can fulfill or satisfy the opposite house this means 11th house of your wishes and desire can be fulfilled by being creative through 5th house and creativity can be fed by investing time and energy in to 6th house, Highest karma associated with 6th is a selfless service to the society.
