🍃Kama Houses in Vedic Astrology We will start a new series on reading and analyzing a Vedic Astrology chart for beginners. Today, we will talk about Kama Houses, the 3rd, 7th & 11th houses. *Important Disclaimer The information below is based on my personal perspective and observation of how to read astrological charts. As a beginner, you must understand the main pillars before analyzing and decoding any Jyotish chart. However, this article is for educational purposes only. 🍃Kama Houses In Jyotish Kama refers to our needs, desires, communication, and intellectual skills. It shows our wishes and ambitions we would like to fulfill in our current lifetime. Kama houses consist of 2 Upachaya houses (the 3rd and 11th). It can be translated as “Skills and intelligence we will attain OR wishes we eventually will gain after hard work and dedication. Check your Kama houses, usually shows the energy that will get better with time OR you will never give up unless it gets fulfilled. Let’s say you have a substantial Kama house, regardless of sign placement, it shows that no matter how hard and challenging you face in life, at one point you will be able to fulfill it. Kama is a house that gives us hope to keep up in life. 🍃It’s divided into 3 parts: The 3rd House: It shows our skill, intelligence, and perhaps talents we accumulated from a past life (can be seen via Ketu too). However, the 3rd house shows an energy that will improve and evolve with time. This means, mainly you will be working to enhance your 3rd house matters or energy. It also shows your self-esteem, self-confidence, and communication skill. Usually, when the 3rd house gets enhanced, other Kama/Upachaya houses will get better too. The 7th House: Although most of us refer to it as the house of marriage and spouse, in fact, it has to do with career/business/professional network circle, and also your social skill.It’s the same as the 3rd house, which means it gets better with time, and therefore, good results will start to manifest from it. The 7th house also shows what type of connection and network circle you will attract in life and how you can benefit from them. The 11th House: It shows the outcome and the result of your dedication and hard work in life. OR it shows what you will end up fulfilling in life. The 11th house is usually auspicious, although it’s Bhavat Bhavam of the 12th house (losses, ending, and sorrow). The 11th house will show you the epiphany and actual needs in life we may not be aware of till late in life. (This is the reason why sometimes we need to dig deep into our chart beyond mere predictions and future expectations, to really understand what we really want and need in life). 🍃Kama houses sign element You can refer back to old posts that I have done explaining the sign element. Understanding the houses will be one piece of the puzzle, but knowing the sign of the dharma houses gives you the nature of work you are supposed to do in life. Fire Kama usually shows people can be the center of attention and mainly they will work on self-development and self-expression. People with Air Kama usually are very active and clever, they are like a book/knowledge worm who wants to know everything and anything. People with Earth Kama usually develop skills that can help them in their careers and reputations.
